WESSEX TOOL AND DIE LTD was started by John Woods and Bob Mael. We have been together for eighteen years, utilising wire erosion for the manufacturing press tools and jigs and fixtures for various industries, and have gradually built up a base for sub-contract Wire erosion.

Our skills are also utilised on surface and cylindrical grinding, milling, turning, jig-boring and also special purpose machinery involving automated pressings and assembly.
Also batch and “one offs” of general precision engineering components.

Regrinding and refurbishment of existing tooling and/or modification also undertaken, along with new punches and dies for brake presses.

Design is done in house on Auto-cad, this coupled with our experience allows us to produce prototypes for customers to prove parts before commencing full production.
